Review:

berry burst strawberry banana cheeriosCheerios new "berry burst" series of dried fruit combined with the classic General Mills oat cereal, Cheerios, is a convenient way to start the day. The fruit is right in the cereal box, when you pour the milk (or soy milk, or rice milk or yogurt), the fruit begins to soften and rehydrate. The flavor isn't quite as good as fresh but it's not bad. The small difference is made up by the convenience of not having to wash, and cut fresh fruit and the savings of not using all the fruit you have on hand before it can spoil. The dried fruit in these cereals stays fresh as long or longer than the cereal itself.

Nutritionally, Cheerios are not a bad choice -- there's vitamins,.minerals and (some) fiber in a tasty low fat package. That said, we would rather this cereal be a trifle less sweet and would prefer the sweetener be something other than corn syrup in order to get higher nutrition marks.
