green rubber stamping ink
green embossing powder
embossing heat tool
small 3 tag punch
adhesives (we used a Xyron adhesive machine, you could also use spray adhesives or glue sticks or adhesive runners)
round hole punch
scissors
decorative edge scissors
narrow strip of green paper
small length of dark green or black embroidery floss or yarn

Instructions:

Step 1. Using dark green ink, stamp the fish on yellow card stock Cover with green embossing powder, shake off the excess and use the embossing heat tool to set the powder. Click here for more details in our embossing technique tutorial.

Step 2. Carefully cut around the stamped, embossed fish, leaving about a 1/4 inch border of yellow card stock all the way around.

Step 3. Poke a small hole where the fish's mouth is.

Step 4. Layer one small punched tag on the of the other. Punch a small hole in the top of the largest tag. Thread one end of the yarn or embroidery floss through the top of the tag on one end, and through the hole in the mouth of the fish on the other. Use a small piece of tape to secure the floss behind the paper fish element.

Step 5. Apply a thin layer of adhesive from a glue stick to the back of the fish (you can alternatively use spray adhesive). Glue the fish on the piece of red card stock.

Step 6. Carefully cut around the yellow card stock with decorative scissors, leaving about 1/4 inch border all the way around.

Step 7. Use a round hole punch to punch a hole in the center top edge of the tag (through all layers). Thread a narrow red paper strip through the hole in order to attach it to the gift.
